What does the verified badge on Maple Care mean?
It means our team reviewed that account after sign-up and it passed. Every account, client or professional, is reviewed this way. The verified badge is a screening signal to help you decide who to contact. It is not a background check, and it does not replace your own interview, reference checks or a current vulnerable sector check.
How do certification badges work?
Professionals upload certifications such as first aid, a PSW certificate or a vulnerable sector check. Each one our team checks earns a badge on their profile, so you can see at a glance which documents have been looked at. Care businesses can also show badges for how many people they have hired and how many clients or units they serve.
Certificates can expire. When a certification matters to you, ask the professional for the current document before care starts.
Who can see my name and contact details?
Nobody, until they buy your lead. Profiles and requests never show real names, addresses, emails or phone numbers, and location appears by city only. Whoever buys a lead gets the other side's contact details. If both sides buy each other's lead, both have them. This keeps you private while you decide who to talk to.

What checks should I do before hiring a caregiver?
Maple Care is not the employer of anyone and is not a party to your agreement, so the checks are yours. Meet the person, ask questions and call references. For elder care and child care, always ask for a current vulnerable sector check, the police check for work with seniors and children, before letting anyone care for a parent or child.

How do I report a user or a problem on Maple Care?
Write to [email protected] and tell us what happened, including the profile or request involved. Our team reviews every report. If a lead you bought has fake or unreachable contact details, you can ask for your credits back, unless that lead already carried a verified badge. If anyone is in danger, call your local police first.

What is a vulnerable sector check?
A vulnerable sector check is a police background check in Canada for people who work with children, seniors or other vulnerable people. It is requested through the police service where the person lives. Ask any caregiver or babysitter for a current one before they care for a parent or child.
Does Maple Care guarantee the people I find?
No. Maple Care connects clients and care professionals but is not the employer of anyone, is not a party to the agreement between you, and does not guarantee that anyone is hired or any work results. That is why badges, interviews and reference checks matter.
Can I get my credits back if a lead is fake?
If a lead's contact details turn out to be fake or unreachable, write to [email protected] and ask for your credits back. This does not apply if the lead already carried a verified badge when you bought it.
Are professionals on Maple Care insured or bonded?
Maple Care does not make any insurance or bonding claims about professionals. Many are independent providers or care businesses, so if coverage matters to you, ask the professional directly before you agree anything.
