Maple Care connects clients who need elder, child, property or pet care with care professionals across Canada. Clients post requests and professionals post profiles, both for free. Either side can buy the other's lead to get contact details. Everyone stays anonymous until then. Below are the questions people ask most, from both sides.

What is Maple Care?
Maple Care is a bilingual lead marketplace run by Joel & Nanz Inc., a Canadian company. It connects families, property owners, care homes and property managers with independent caregivers, companions, babysitters, nannies, cleaners, caretakers, pet sitters, dog walkers and care businesses. Four care types are covered: elder, child, property and pet.
- Elder care: companionship, personal support, respite, dementia care, overnight or live-in care
- Child care: babysitting, regular nanny, after-school care, overnight care
- Property care: cleaning, caretaking, short-term rental turnovers, property management
- Pet care: pet sitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight pet sitting
How does a request become a connection?
A client posts a request saying what help is needed, where, when, how many hours are guaranteed and how many people they need. Professionals see it without the client's name or contact details. A professional who buys the lead gets those details and reaches out. Clients can also buy a professional's lead to contact them first.
What is free on Maple Care, and what is paid?
Posting a request and creating a profile are free. Buying a lead, which gives you the other side's contact details, is paid with credits. The price depends on the lead, for example the guaranteed hours, and it is always shown before you buy. The pricing page explains the structure.
What is the buyer limit on a request?
Each request shows how many professionals may buy it and how many already have. The client sets this limit, with a minimum of 5. We suggest twice the number of people you need, or 5 if you need one person. It keeps things manageable for clients and helps professionals decide whether a lead is worth buying.
How do I choose someone safely?
Look at the verified badge, which means our team reviewed the account, and at certification badges for documents we have checked. Then do your own checks: interview the person, call references and, for elder or child care, ask for a current vulnerable sector check. Maple Care is not a party to your agreement and does not guarantee the work.
Frequently asked questions
Is my name shown on my request or profile?
No. Requests and profiles never show real names, addresses, emails or phone numbers, and location appears by city only. Whoever buys a lead gets the other side's contact details. If both sides buy, both have them.
Can I be both a client and a care professional?
Yes. You can post a request when you need care and keep a profile for the care you offer, for example a parent who needs a babysitter and also offers pet sitting. The two work separately.
Can a professional offer more than one type of care?
Yes. One profile can cover elder care, child care, property care and pet care. Professionals get email or text (SMS) alerts for new matching requests in each type they offer.
What if a lead's contact details are fake?
If the contact details on a lead you bought turn out to be fake or unreachable, write to [email protected] and ask for your credits back. This does not apply if the lead already carried a verified badge when you bought it.
Does Maple Care work in French?
Yes. The whole site is available in English and French, and clients and professionals can list the languages they speak, so you can look for someone who speaks your language.
Who sets the rates for care?
Professionals set their own rates and agree them directly with each client. Maple Care does not set rates, is not the employer of anyone and is not a party to the agreement between client and professional.
