How do I join Maple Care as an elder care professional?
Sign up free and create a profile describing the elder care services you offer, along with your city, experience, languages and availability. Our team reviews every account after sign-up, and accounts that pass get a verified badge. Your profile never shows your name, address, email or phone number, only your city.

Which badges can I earn on my elder care profile?
Upload certifications such as first aid, a PSW certificate or a current vulnerable sector check. Each one our team checks earns a badge on your profile, next to your verified badge. Families look closely at badges when choosing who to contact, so they help you stand out. You can also store your resume and certificates in your account.
If you run an elder care business, your profile can also show badges for how many people you have hired and how many clients you serve.
How do I read an elder care request before buying it?
Each request shows the type of care, the city, when help is needed, how many hours are guaranteed and how many people the family needs. It also shows the buyer limit, meaning how many professionals may buy that lead, and how many already have. Together, these tell you whether a request is worth your credits.
The family sets the buyer limit, with a minimum of 5. The price of each lead is shown before you buy and depends on the lead, for example the guaranteed hours.

What happens after I buy an elder care lead?
You get the family's contact details, and it is up to you to reach out. Maple Care provides message templates for elder care to help you start the conversation. You and the family then agree the schedule, the tasks and your rates directly. Maple Care is not a party to that agreement and does not guarantee the work.
Families can also buy your profile lead to contact you first, so a complete profile with badges can bring requests to you. Email and text (SMS) alerts tell you when a new matching request is posted.
Who sets my rates for elder care work?
You do. As an independent care professional, you set your own rates and agree them directly with each family, along with the hours and the tasks involved. Maple Care does not set rates or take part in your agreement with the family. Being clear about your rates early helps both of you decide quickly whether the fit is right.

Do I need certifications to offer elder care on Maple Care?
No. You can join and build a profile without them. Certifications such as first aid or a PSW certificate earn badges once our team checks them, and families pay close attention to badges. Experience caring for a parent or grandparent is worth describing on your profile too.
Which badges can families see on my elder care profile?
Families see your verified badge once our team has reviewed your account, plus a badge for each certification we have checked, such as first aid, a PSW certificate or a vulnerable sector check. Care businesses can also show badges for how many people they have hired and how many clients they serve.
Can I offer elder care and other types of care?
Yes. Your profile can cover several care types: elder care, child care, property care and pet care. You get alerts for new matching requests in each type you offer, and your verified badge and certification badges appear wherever families see your profile.
Is my name shown to families before they buy my lead?
No. Profiles never show your real name, address, email or phone number, and your location appears by city only. A family gets your contact details only if they buy your lead. When you buy a family's lead, you get theirs. If both sides buy, both have the contact details.
What if a family's contact details are fake?
If the contact details on a lead you bought turn out to be fake or unreachable, write to [email protected] and ask for your credits back. This does not apply if the lead already carried a verified badge when you bought it.
Do I need a vulnerable sector check for elder care?
Families looking for elder care will usually ask for a current vulnerable sector check, the police check for work with seniors and other vulnerable people. Request one through the police service where you live, then upload it to your account. Once our team checks it, it earns a badge on your profile.
