Each professional describes the services and animals they handle and sets their own rates, so read each profile and confirm what fits.

How do I post a pet care request?
Describe your pet, the care you need, your city, the dates or schedule, how many hours you can guarantee and how many sitters you need. Posting is free. Your request is shown without your name, address, email or phone number, and matching professionals get an email or text alert about it.
Each request shows a buyer limit: how many professionals may buy it. You set it, with a minimum of 5. We suggest twice the number of people you need, or 5 if you need one sitter. Professionals also see how many have already bought it.
A professional who buys your lead gets your contact details and reaches out to you. From there, you and the sitter talk and agree on the care between you.
What do badges tell me about a pet sitter or dog walker?
Our team reviews every account after sign-up, and accounts that pass get a verified badge. Pet sitters and dog walkers can upload certifications such as pet first aid, and each one our team checks earns a badge on their profile. Pet care businesses can also show badges for how many people they have hired and how many clients they serve.

How do I choose a pet sitter or dog walker safely?
Maple Care does not hire or manage sitters and is not a party to your agreement, so the checks are yours to make. Meet each sitter with your pet before you agree, call references from other pet owners, and settle the schedule, rate, keys and emergency plan in writing before the first visit.

Does Maple Care screen pet sitters before they contact me?
No. Our team reviews every account after sign-up and checks the certifications sitters upload, which is what the badges show. That is a helpful signal, not a full screening. Before handing over keys, meet the sitter with your pet, call their references and agree on the details in writing.
Will pet sitters see my name and address?
Not before they buy your lead. Requests never show real names, addresses, emails or phone numbers, and your location appears by city only. A professional who buys your lead gets your contact details, and you decide when to share your address, usually after you have talked.
Can I find someone for overnight or holiday pet sitting?
Yes. Post a request with the dates, whether you want the sitter to stay overnight or visit, and how many visits a day you need. Holiday dates can be busy, so posting early gives sitters in your city more time to see your request and buy the lead.
Can I post a request for a pet with special needs?
Yes. Describe your pet's needs clearly, such as medication, a special diet, mobility issues or anxiety around strangers. Sitters use this to decide whether the work fits their experience. Ask about it again when you talk, and look for relevant certification badges on their profile.
Can I contact a dog walker directly instead of posting?
Yes. If a profile fits what you need, you can buy that professional's lead to get their contact details and reach out first. The price is shown before you buy. The profile shows their badges, services and city, but not their name or contact details until you buy.
Can I find a French-speaking pet sitter?
Yes. Maple Care works in English and French. Mention the language you prefer when you describe your pet and the care you need, so professionals know before deciding to buy your lead, and confirm it when you talk with each sitter.
