What personal information does Maple Care collect?

We collect what you type into our forms. A care request includes your name, email, phone number, city, the kind of care you need and your message. A worker application adds your experience, certifications, languages, availability, vulnerable sector check status, whether you have a vehicle and, if you attach one, your resume.

If you join our news list, we keep your email address, your language and the record of when and how you agreed to receive email from us.

How does Maple Care use my information?

We use it to review your account, show your request or profile, and send you alerts. Requests and profiles are shown without names, addresses, emails or phone numbers, and by city only. When someone buys your lead, we give that person your name and contact details so they can reach you. By posting you agree to this use.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to finding care or care work. We send news emails only to people who confirmed they want them, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.

Where is my information stored and who can see it?

Form submissions and resumes are stored on servers in Canada. Resumes are kept outside the public website and can only be opened by signed-in Maple Care staff, and each time one is opened it is logged. Access is limited to the people at Maple Care who review accounts.

Like most websites, our pages are delivered through a content delivery network and load fonts from a web font service. Those providers receive technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the page. Our public pages do not set cookies and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How long does Maple Care keep my information?

We keep your information while your account is active, or while needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations. If you no longer want us to keep your request or application, write to [email protected] and we will delete it, except for any records the law requires us to keep.

How can I see, correct or delete my information?

Write to [email protected] and tell us what you would like to see, correct or delete. We will confirm who you are and reply. You can leave our news list at any time with the unsubscribe link in any news email. Maple Care is owned by Joel & Nanz Inc. of New Brunswick, which is responsible for this information.
