Sign up free and create a profile describing the child care you offer, your city, experience, languages and availability. Our team reviews every account after sign-up, and accounts that pass get a verified badge. Your profile never shows your name, address, email or phone number; families see your city only until they buy your lead.

Which badges help babysitters and nannies stand out?
Families choosing someone to care for their children look first for a current vulnerable sector check and first aid. Upload these, along with any early childhood training, and each one our team checks earns a badge on your profile next to your verified badge. You can also keep your resume and certificates stored in your account.
If you run a child care business, your profile can also show badges for how many people you have hired and how many clients you serve.
How do I read a family's child care request?
Each request shows the type of child care, the city, the schedule, how many hours are guaranteed and how many people the family needs. It also shows the buyer limit, meaning how many professionals may buy that lead, and how many already have. Use these details to decide whether a request is worth buying.
The family sets the buyer limit, with a minimum of 5. The price of each lead is shown before you buy and depends on the lead, for example the guaranteed hours.

What do I do after buying a child care lead?
You receive the family's contact details and reach out yourself. Maple Care provides message templates for child care to help you start the conversation. Expect the family to interview you, check your references and ask for your vulnerable sector check. You then agree the schedule, duties and rates directly; Maple Care is not a party to that agreement.
Families can also buy your profile lead and contact you first. Email and text (SMS) alerts tell you when a new matching request is posted.
Who sets my rates for babysitting or nanny work?
You do. As an independent care professional, you set your own rates and agree them directly with each family, along with the hours and duties. Maple Care does not set rates, take part in your agreement or guarantee the work. Stating your rates clearly in your first message saves time for you and for the family.

Do I need certifications to offer child care on Maple Care?
No, you can join and build a profile without them. That said, families will usually ask for first aid and a current vulnerable sector check before trusting someone with their children. Each certification our team checks earns a badge on your profile, which helps families choose you.
Which badges can families see on my child care profile?
Families see your verified badge once our team has reviewed your account, plus a badge for each certification we have checked, such as first aid, early childhood training or a vulnerable sector check. Child care businesses can also show badges for how many people they have hired and how many clients they serve.
Can I offer child care and other types of care?
Yes. Your profile can cover several care types: elder care, child care, property care and pet care. You get alerts for new matching requests in each type you offer, and your badges appear wherever families see your profile.
Is my name shown to families before they buy my lead?
No. Profiles never show your real name, address, email or phone number, and your location appears by city only. A family gets your contact details only if they buy your lead, and you get theirs when you buy their request. If both sides buy, both have the contact details.
What if a family's contact details are fake?
If the contact details on a lead you bought turn out to be fake or unreachable, write to [email protected] and ask for your credits back. This does not apply if the lead already carried a verified badge when you bought it.
Do I need a vulnerable sector check for child care?
Families looking for child care will almost always ask for a current vulnerable sector check, the police check for work with children. Request one through the police service where you live and upload it to your account. Once our team checks it, it earns a badge that families can see on your profile.
